Allt Mor Erosion Scar Investigation

Donnie Grant Memorial Award

To honour the legacy of the late Donnie Grant MBE who was the driving force behind Kingussie Community Development Company and the community hydro, the trustees of KCDC have launched the “Donnie Grant Memorial Award”. Hydro 10 year celebration!

On February 15th we celebrated the community hydro scheme that has operated on the River Gynack for the past 10 years. Almost 80 people joined us over the day for a tour of the hydro plant and a wee bowl of soup at Kingussie Golf Club. We had a great day meeting all of you.

Another good December for the Hydro

The Hydro generated 6074 kilowatt hours in December 2024. This is the 3rd highest monthly total since operations began. It was helped by the Pitmain Flood Alleviation scheme that smoothed out the effect of heavy rain showers and snow melt.
